Hi Guys

Its been a while since I needed any help! Been doing ok recently!! :)

However, I have convinced a friend of mine to turn to a mac. He bought an emac 3 weeks ago and loves it. It is running osX10.3

His Isp (onetel UK) will not support mac products for os X 10.3. So he has had to go buy a modem. However money is tight so I had a search and have old modem that i used to use before. Its the Alcatel Speedtouch USB modem. I have found a driver that says its compatible for 10.1 upwards at http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/9261 . I have tested it on my mac before i go to him but not had much luck! although both lights do come on the modem I am not connecting to my iso. So rather upset my settings and not being able to connect with my airport - i thought i would ask if anyone knows any other place where i might find a driver for that modem for osx 10.3 ??

I also have the westell modem (36R305) but there are not drivers for that anywhere.

Many thanks

Chris

I have the Alcatel SpeedTouch 330 and it works fine on my iMac running OS X v10.3.4. Go to ...

http://homepage.mac.com/timothy_griffin/

... where you can download the original drivers ("Original drivers.zip") and the update ("Driver upgrade 3.0.1.2.zip").

Obviously, if it's not the 330 model your friend has then don't use them!

Thanks so much i will have a go (Friday at the sooonest). I will let you know how i get on. Many thanks Chris
