All browsers on my OS X(10.4.11) acting funny

Just recently, about a week ago, all my browsers (firefox, safari, camino) started acting funny:

Slow to start up, showing 'url not valid', only downloading parts of sites, etc

Its not my connection, other macs and pc run fine.

Where do I look to troubleshoot?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
 
Did you do any updates before this started to happen? E.g. security updates?? Installed any software with an installer?
When this happens the next time, keep Console open and tell what it is telling what would be happening.
