so i recently upgraded from tiger to leopard, i'm encountering a problem though and i really don't know if it's on my internet connection or leopard. i didn't have this problem till i upgraded...

anytime i open my bit-torrent client (transmission) my airport connection slowly dies. It goes from 5 bars down to 4, down to 3, ... etc. then it completely kills my connection. But no one else in the house is effected...

i can turn airport off and turn it back on and it does the same thing again... 5 working it's way down till nothing.

so whats going on? Leopard flaw or throttled by my isp (time warner, which i heard is now being run through comcast (or something along those lines), which does throttle)

it's bright house networks which is a division of time warner, i've heard reports of comcast taking over time warners internet providers so i have a feeling I'm being throttled...

I'm started to get paranoid especially after the oink shut down last week.

I'm now on my works wi-fi and it's giving me no problems what so ever.... my isp is going to get a lovely call from me later... comcast is being targeted with a class-action lawsuit... i think i may be able to use that to my advatage when yelling and screaming later.

Whether or not your ISP is throttling your traffic should have no bearing on your Airport signal strength.

As mentioned in another thread, the options for "Interface Robustness" appears to have disappeared. Where you perhaps using this setting under Tiger for your wireless connection?
