animated gif/graphic converter slow

I have converted a Quicktime .mov via Graphic Converter into a gif image sequence. After that I have converted all of the gifs (303) into another gif, clicking on "create movie" in the options tab.

I got a nice animated gif in a good quality, which plays just fine in the Graphic Converter. (It's playing in a loop, though - why?? I want it to play just once...)

However, when I embed it through Dreamweaver in my website it plays in an "unwanted slow motion" - just looking at it I'd say at about 50% of the original speed. How can I fix this?

Thank you very much for helping me.

Cheers from Italy, Lilly

Every browser displays animated GIFs at different speeds, depending on how the browser interprets the speed of the GIF.

While you have some control over this in the frame delay in the GIF file itself, you don't have total control over this. The browser will always play the GIF at some speed that is a combination of the frame speed you set in the GIF, the speed of the computer, and how many resources the browser allocates to displaying animated GIFs.

If you want a movie that displays at a set framerate no matter what platform or browser the end-user is using, an animated GIF is not the way to go -- you'll need to create a movie file in AVI, MOV, MP4 or some other "real" movie format.
