Animated Gifs In Safari

i'm not sure if it is just since 2.0 or if it was a long standing thing, but i have noticed that animated gifs don't repeat, and there seems to be no way of making it repeat.

is there a way?

Some (very rare) animated GIFs do not loop. But 99.9% of them you see should.

Ugh, why would you want them to repeat? Thank heavens for pithhelmet which lets you control them. Of course, you could use pith and set gifs to loop constantly, though that will draw memory resources.
