Hi,

I have one annoying problem since I did the last updates on my Powerbook G4 running Mac OS X 10.4.8. the problem is that while using the computer, it switches automatically to the Finder application, and I always to click on the window I was using to reactivate it. While writing this email, it happened three times.

Please help!

Thanks

Mathieu

gabwey,

Welcome to MacOSX.com!

Weird problem. Do you have your trackpad set to simulate a click with a tap? Have you selected the option to ignore the trackpad while you're typing?

Is it possible that you're accidentally tapping the trackpad as you type and selecting the Finder?

somewhere or a window-switching preference set ... think about what's in your /User/Preference Panes ... look thru Shortcuts in Keyboards PP ... and if you have ServiceScrubber (free, and terrific) you will see all the Shortcuts set by apps to use their Services. I delete the ones I don't use, having discovered that turning off the Service isn't enough!

Sounds like something was done in customising that you have perhaps forgotten about.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Finally I updated to 10.4.9, and the problem was corrected!

Thanks anyways!

Mathieu
