I like the trash sound effect when you hit cmd-delete on a file. But now with Tiger, there is this annoying spring sound effect whenever you move or copy a file!

Is there a way to use only the trash sound effect. The sounds control panel is different now. There is just one checkbox I can find: "Play UI sound effects". Like all or nothing. Am I missing something?
 
:( Nope, that's it -- all or nothing. You can't choose individual sound effects via the GUI, but there may be some "hacking" you could do to change this -- perhaps locate the sound files themselves, if they're not embedded in something, and change them...
 
i actually don't mind either of them. they give you an audio cue when you have successfully thrashed files or copied them over (so that you can do other things in the mean time and then be notified when they are done with what they are doing)
