Anonymous Web Surfing

Suggestions wanted. I need to surf the web anonymously on occasion. I don't want my IP address to be available. A program called "cotse" was recommended to me. Can't figure out if I can use it with OS 10.2.3.
I am not a techie so please keep it simple if possible. All recommendations will be appreciated.
