Another Logic Board Failure

This is the third time in less than 2yrs that the logic board in my iBook G3 900Mhz has failed on me. The last two times Apple fixed the issue for free. However, now they are claiming my serial number never fell under the replacement program and shouldn't be covered. They are still reviewing my case number to figure out what my options are.

This really sucks. It is my only computer and I don't have the funds to replace it. I wish I could buy a new MacBook.

Of course, it dies right when I started doing a project for a nonprofit club in my area.

Has anyone else had a logic board go this many times in their iBook?

mine failed six times... :-(

just keep pestering apple. if one person turns you down, contact the next one. it is time-consuming and frustrating, but if you're lucky and find the right person, you will get another free logic board. (my research on the net has shown that it depends a lot on who you deal with at apple on whether they will help you out or not. maybe you should mention the ipod court case, and say you're considering legal action?)
