It's the page for POVRAY 3.5 - it's very new - and it states that it NEEDS 10.2!
Maybe apple released Jaguar and we don't know about it

Maybe it will take advantage of somewhat decent newer carbon libs, because the performance of this program under osx is abysmal. A PIII 733 with 128 Megs of RAM trounces me on a scene I've been working on because of radiosity and a material I use. Meanwhile, the render speed is half the mac on the PIII.. I'm running a iMac 800 with 512 megs of RAM. It's sad, because I love POV-Ray so much, and I am forced to eithre find or buy a faster rig to continue to use it at home.
