any news on new airport base station or express

Just wondering if anyone knows any news on a new airport base station or airport express. rumous are they will have "air video" - video streaming capabilities. Any news on a release?
 
Nope, no news on a release. I guess they won't really update the products until a higher bandwidth solution is ready for deployment, and it doesn't seem like it right now.
 
Like wireless "B", or "G". Currently, wireless "N" is available in draft products, but wireless "N" is not final yet.
 
Yes, there are a lot of "Pre-N" routers out there, released prior to the 802.11N standard being finalised and agreed upon. Already, some of these routers won't be able to meet the current batch of 802.11N requirements so will never be fully compatible - at least that is how it appears now.

Since Apple is a backer of 802.11N, they are likely to adopt it. However, unlike their impatient counterparts at Belkin and D-Link, they won't be using the standard until it is finalised and agreed upon.
