Any Time Machine issues I should be aware of?

Hello fellow members, I have purchased a 500gb hard drive and firewire
enclosure which is on its way to me now for use with Time Machine.
Before I setup Time Machine to backup my mac are there any
issues/oddities that I should be aware of? Thanks!
 
don't change the name of the time machine hard drive after you have it setup.

don't change the sharing name of your computer after you start backing up.


those are the only 2 that i'm aware of currently.
 
John-i Had Problem On Mine In That Spotlight Was Trying To Index The Computor At The Same Time I Was Doing The Backup--it Was Very Slow And Actually Caused " Kernel Attacks" And Had To Restart Comp. Figured Out That You Should Turn Off Backup And Let Spotlight Do Its Indexing And Then Turn On Backup In The Preferences Of Time Machine. Mine Is Backing Up Fine Now.
