Hello! I have a task on that that is a little annoying. I have 1000's of images that need to be grouped together in individual folders based on a string of characters in the file name.
For instance, a group of images named: 123_ABCD_xxxx.tif would need to be grouped together in a folder named "ABCD". Then another group of images named: 456_ EFGH_xxxx.tif would need to be grouped together in their own folder named "EFGH". At one time I worked at a company where they had a droplet that you could drop the images on and it would automatically group all images together in individual folders based on a set of criteria (in this case, "ABCD" would be the variables), but I can't think of a way to create this using Automator.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
