Anyone running kismet?

just wondering if anyone is running kismet on there apple's.

More intrested in how you can get a 3rd party WLAN card into promisc mode. Any ideas? (VPC doesnt work)

I'm trying to get Kismet running on an old clamshell iBook with 10.3

I installed ethereal (and added the path for ethereal so kismet could find it) but when I do ./configure for kismet - it complains that it can't find wiretap in the ethereal install path?

what is wiretap and why was it not installed in the ethereal install?

I believe that wiretap is a seperate application. Are you doing this on Linux/UNIX or under Mac OS X? You might need to get the version of wiretap for the OS that you are using

I like KisMAC better than kismet. Its just like kismet, but for OS X.
