Anyone tried Panther (beta) on a G5?

Anyone had the chance to try any of the Panther Betas on any model G5 and if so how did it go?

I know I could wait till after the 24 October but I'm impatient.

Was hopng to try it on my 1.6GHz, but it's that busy working for me it hasn't been rebooted since it leaped out of it's box. Maybe over the weekend.
 
Okay, installed 7b85. All I can say at the moment is it's definately faster than 10.2.8. XBench results up upto 20 points - scoring c.140

Is there anything specific you'd like to know?
 
Cheers for that bookem, nothing in particular. I was just wondering because I hadn't seen any reviews of the two together.

Just thought, how about some apps, do you have InDesign and Dreamweaver? If so can you tell me how well they run cause InDesign is a very slow dog when it come to performance (but then I do have a old QS 733).

I'm going to start saving now.

I was always very dissappointed in the performance of Fireworks under all previous versions of OS X. With my G5 1.6 with 768 MB of RAM, OMG! it runs so much faster. I can't wait to see more apps optimized for the G5 and then some true 64-bit apps come out. Anyway...like I said - Fireworks runs faster now.
