Ok, after launching a few apps, I relaunched AIM after my hard disk had spun down. It launched without the hard disk spinning up! This makes me think that the app was fully cached in the RAM. If so, how eager is OS X to give up that RAM and give it to another app? Just wondering, because after 6 days of uptime, I had 4.84 MB RAM left (out of 384 MB).
