App name next to Apple Menu Screwy

I've got a problem with the App name having changed for some apps. Ircle no longer says Ircle but now says AOL.

It's as if the new beta for AOL has taken over some of my apps. The same is also true for ICQ.

I'm talking about the app name next to the apple menu in the menu bar not the name of the app in the finder windows. Any one got any ideas?
 
i had this problem once. i had messed with the file that controls the internet preference panes defaults, adding entries for icab and omniweb, but when i did it, icab was installed, but omniweb not yet. thereafter, even when both were installed, iCab always claimed to be omniweb up in the name next to the apple menu. never did figure out how to fix it.
