Apple 17 inch lcd display buttons not wo

I just acquired an apple lcd 17 inch display and it worked fine until my leopard updates. Now the buttons don't work and it stays black. i have geoforce mx card. The display preferences says it sees it but the screen is black and the buttons don't work. Any ideas?
 
1. Try unplugging the cables and plugging it back in.I am talking about the LCD display
2. Reset pram(option+command+R+P)
