I would be very happy if Apple finally switched to a two button mouse (although if it was cool I'd have to go pay $59 for it 
), but I would point out that the system requirements don't mean they are heading in that direction. If you go to Apple's Warcraft III page, you'll see they recommend you buy a mulit-button mouse there too, and Maya has always required three buttons, but that didn't mean Apple was going to give one to you.
OTOH, with the new PowerMacs needed soon, this would be the perfect time to release a new mouse.
