Anyone heard any rumors etc. When they are going to resolve this problem of not being able to play videos on a lot of web sites. The sites always want you to download flash player 9, but you can't because apple doesn't allow it.
Personally, I am getting very ticked off at the situation.

Well it's simple, Apple hates Adobe Flash and Oracle's Java. They aren't even included in OS X Lion, although Apple does allow you to install it from software update when a program needs it.

I don't see why you aren't able to download Flash though. The latest version of Flash for OS X is 10.3 and you can get it here.

I can download 10.3 on my work station fine and install okay, but I sync. My ipad2 and no go for ipad2. Can't download on ipad2. Web sites keep asking me to download flash playe 9 or greater and install on iPad but no go. e vertime I want to run a video it asks me to get flash 9. I get apple & adobes argument but there has to be a cure??????

There are areas of this forum that are devoted to the iPad and other iOS devices. This is not one of them. Your OP led me to believe that you had problems running Flash on your Mac. The fact that others recommended that you install Flash 10.3 indicates that I was not the only one who was so mistaken. It is and has been known from jump that iOS does not include Flash. This is so well known that no-Flash on the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad is almost thought of as a feature.

jbarley gave you a link to some workarounds. However, the iPad is simply not the device for you if Flash is an essential element of your life.
