Apple and bose

Well since i bought my ipod i have fallen in love with it. So as a present to it i want to buy a new really nice stereo. The thing is i want small speakers becuase i know there are better sounding speakers out there then bose. Dont worry about the money just let me know what you think about bose stereos. Im looking at a bose lifestyle 25 right now.
 
While Bose is okay, check out Sony, Denon or Panasonic.

All three give outstandling sound.
 
bose is overhyped, base suks and NO mids...

get some nice bookshelf speakers, Paragon, B&W, or JBL.... Get a nice Denon or Haromon Kardon Amp... And also get a real sub. 10" perfered..
 
BOSE doesn't suck.

I've got a 6-speaker BOSE system in my car, and it rocks the house. THICK bass, nice mids, a little weak on the high end but it's ok.
