Apple IIe
Introduced: January 1983
Terminated: March 1995
Wow!

A computer model that continued selling for 12 years!

The much more famous Macintosh 128, by comparison, only laste one year... (before becoming the Macintosh 512)

could be why many people think bad things when thinking of apple. sure, in '83 the IIe was revolutionary but in '95 kids still using them in school were thinking, "this sucks."

I always forget exactly what the name of my machine is... Now I know it's a Quicksilver... I updated my signature so I don't forget.:)

What an informative site!

And I just found out there that my very first Mac, the PowerMac 7100, was codenamed Carl Sagan – after one of my all-time heroes, the astronomer, science writer and visionary – and inspiration behind the SETI program.

That seems fitting – in the same week that the Columbia astronauts are remembered and laid to rest. Sorry, I just can't stop thinking about that tragedy.

That is a great site, I stopped going to it becuase it wasn't updated... thanks Kendall for letting us know it was updated!
