Apple Iphone!?
I need some help in trying to understand the apple iphone....If i bought the apple iphone does that mean i have to have a monthly contract with 02 or does that mean that i can use my vodafone sim in it...im guessing not?? I have been told that i dont have to have a monthly contract but then how come i cannot find the apple iphone on the 02 website under pay and go phones? any help or pointers about the apple iphone in the UK is appreciated ...thanks.

I have my iPhone 3gs on a Vodaphone contract.

But a PAYG iPhone 4 is available from Vodafone

I can't see why you can't use you current SIM in the iPhone. Maybe a call to Vodafone will get you an upgrade.

iPhones, like most other mobiles in UK and mostly anywhere else, are bound to the provider selling them.

So buy one from O2, and you'll be stuck to O2 (unless you jailbreak your iPhone; details for which are not posted on this forum but you can use google fu. Jailbreak may or may not unlock your phone to work with the other companies SIM cards, and/or it may create other issues).

To get the best out of an iPhone, you'll probably want your prepay or contract to have some kind of affordable option for data.
