Apple Mail Problem Reading Sent Messages

When I open a sent item, I've got a messagetext that says that the message isn't downloaded from server and I have to connect to read it! What ever I do, the message dosn't display. Any suggestions?
 
I've been experiencing the identical problem in the past few days as well. Hopefully someone has some idea what's causing this.

I'm still experiencing the same problem. I found when I move the actual sent folder to another location (the desktop) and restart Mail, the sent messages are then readable again. This only lasts one session though, and the sent messages folder must be moved back to be readable again. It only works for one session, but if you absolutely need to read a sent message, that'll work for the time being...
 
I've found out that deleting com.apple.mail.plist in user - library - preferences could solve the problem.
