Third time's a charm! (keeping fingers crosses...just in case) Looks like we'll be seeing those PowerBooks and PowerMacs soon.
From the 'news' (I use that term loosely) out there the PowerBooks won't be receiving a processor upgrade. Even if they did, it wouldn't be much. Freescale has only officially released up to 1.7GHz processors (7448), current ones max at 1.67GHz. That (no new processor) seems to be agreed upon by everyone out there. The upgrades being released are said to be higher density screens, larger HDs, Dual-Layer Superdrives, better video cards, and DDR2 memory, etc.. There's also a few claiming better battery life, which would be an indicator of the 7448 processor being utilized instead of the current one. We'll just have to wait and see.
On the plus side they're saying all the PowerMac versions will be dual dual-core processor powered.
