Apple site awfully slow...?

For some reason, I feel like I'm on 56k again, but minus about... 55k.

Everything else works fine, Apple store is very sluggish, anyone else having this problem?

Sorry, I meant the UK one. I purchased Quicktime Pro, and I'm trying to access it, no luck though.

for the past few days the store and the discussion pages have been incredibly slow and unresponsive for me too.

Yes, the apple site is slow. Discussions pages are slow and the iPhoto upload server is very slow (10minutes for 14Mb).

Maybe they installed Tiger? ::ha::

its getting worse -

in the last few days - browsing the discussion pages has become a joke...

i normally open pages in tabs - in quick succession hitting 'ipod' - 'iphoto' - 'itunes' etc - and my machine just hangs... the same for hitting individual threads - opening ones i want to read in tabs - my machine just freezes for a while...

also, icons used on the pages just refuse to load most of the time.

i'm running a 1.25 g4 tower, 10.3.9, safari 1.3...

everything web / internet wise is working fine except for the apple site!

10.4.1 and Apple's site and boards are working fine for me.
