Apple Snowflake Screensaver

Does anyone know anything about the snowflake screensaver I've seen in pictures from the Apple Stores? Maybe Apple will include it with 10.2.3?
 
nope... it's not in it.

the closest to that publicly available snowflake screensaver is sno ... you'll find it in versiontracker. some say it slows down their system, i haven0t noticed that (but on the other hand i don't run it when i have some heavy apps running ... )
 
Runs fine on my G4 but killed my G3. It was running at 1-2fps! Surely it cant be that difficult to animate?! Even with hardly any flakes.

Needs an option to have smaller flakes - more delicate. And different flakes would be better too.

Weird...

I have two monitors, and this only works right on one. On the main monitor (my AVI flat pannel) it just shows falling boxes (almost like sheets of paper) instead of snowflakes... The external CRT connected via the VGA works fine...

Anyone else see the same thing on dual-monitor setup?
 
Wait... I just worked...

I have my screen saver set to require a password, and when I entered it incorrectly suddenly the snowflakes started working on both monitors!
