Apple Software update not completing.

Hey guys im new to this site and truth be told I hope i dont have to use this section all that often lol.

Anywho on with my question:

For some time now my apple software wouldnt update for me once I start it up it goes for like a quarter of the start and then it just stops on me. Any suggestions as to what would be causing this?

Did you read/search for the whole thread "Software Update" not working!? It has some fixes that worked for people through out the thread.

I have given those a try and it's not working still. As for my version I guess it may be important to know I am running Mac OSX 10.5.6
