Apple TV and AirPort Express

So... I've read that you can hook up a hard drive to the new Airport base station which is excellent for me becuase my main computer is a laptop and I hate always having to hook up an external drive to it.

My question is... if I have my iTunes data folder saved on that external drive, will Apple TV be able to read the data from the drive or will I need to have my laptop open with the drive mounted?

Based on how front row works I'm guessing I will.

What do you guys think?

It's supposed to work like an iPod, with syncing and such, so it's debatable whether it will have a master library - your iPod doesn't.
