Apple waiting on Blu-ray...any thoughts or opinions?

There are already internal Blu-ray drives available for current MBPs, so that seems likely. However, it's possible more drastic hardware changes will be necessary to support Blu-ray video playback (all the current Mac drives are only useful for data storage, at least until Apple adds Blu-ray video support).
 
surely dvd player 2, which was a feature of Tiger, which has HD support plays back h.264 dvds, which both blu-ray and HD-DVD use will play these types of media...?
