apple works does not open with 10.3.9

hi!
when opening appleworks i get a frozen page and a clock.
i tried to reinstall: disks 2 and 3 went ok but disk 1 does not open even using the c key.
what is wrong?

Who knows? You have given virtually no relevant information that will help anyone diagnose your problem. AppleWorks works under MacOS X 10.3.9 and works well. Perhaps, you can answer a few questions:

1. Which version AppleWorks? It should be AppleWorks 6.2.9? If you have an earlier version, then update it using the free updater.
2. Have you used AppleWorks on this computer before?
3. Which model Mac?
4. How much installed RAM?
5. How much free hard drive space?
6. Do any of your other applications have problems?
