Apples address book contacts to ipad2 "contacts"

Is there a way to export ( transfer ) apples address books contacts over to my Ipad2's contact book listings enmasse ?

If you're a MobileMe user, set up contacts syncing on your iPad in the Mail/Contacts preferences for your .mac or .me account, and also on your Mac. Changes/additions/deletions will automatically be synced between all devices you've set up to sync via MobileMe. Nothing further needs to be done.
