I am highly impressed with apples laptop repairs. I sent it in (iBook) because the CD tray was broken. But I also had a whole lot of other problems too that really wern't as important like missing keys in the keyboard, a bent AC adapter, a cracked AC port and the pads on the botom came off.

Today, I recieved my iBook back and was thriled to find that not only had they replaced the CD tray, But the fixed everything ealse AND they gave me a new casing and replaced my track pad. so i thought i would just boast a little about apple. ::love:: ::love:: ::love::

I had my iBook's power adaptor fry itself, I don't know why, so I called them on a Friday.
By Monday I had a brand new adaptor and it didn't cost me a cent! Pretty **** good!
 
LOL. I have had 2 laptops breakdown twice. Each time was the logic board. One is in the shop right now. But through all the problems and complications, apple has replaced everything. Now if only they would keep working... BUT I STILL LOVE APPLE. It's just those damb assemble lines that kill me.
 
My casing on my 12" iBook has seen better days. Think that they will replace just that? I am still under the 1 year warranty, by about 6 months.

Probably not if there isn't really anything wrong about the computer itself, sorry. Just hope for the speakers to stop working or something :p

actually... if you find a way to crack the hole near the battery plug (next to the CD-ROM drive, they will replace the metal part of the casing

maybe pliers or a screwdriver ;)
 
I sent my 12" Powerbook to Apple back in February, because I fried the optical drive. They COMPLETELY replaced the laptop.

Right now, it's in for repairs because the latch that holds it shut busted, and they're repairing it. Also, my AC adapter died, so they're sending me a replacement. The repair shouldn't take long, and they it got to them overnight, but it's been almost a week since it got to Apple, and it's not back yet... Kind of irritating. I just can't live without it :( Great service though :)

Hmm, I sent my powerbook in for repair two months ago when the combo drive stopped reading cds. the speakers were busted and the plastic frame all cracked and messed up by the previous owner, so they replaced all visible parts including the speakers and repainted the display :)
But the speakers still didn't work when I got it back (seems to be a motherboard error), and the battery only lasts for approx. an hour, so I think I'll send it back again shortly right before the warranty expires. That way I'll get another 3 moths warranty :D

After phoning Apple and Airborne Express, I figured out why it's late. There was a mix-up at the company doing the repairs, and it's being fixed now. It should be shipped out any day :)
