Applescript to add file extension .jpg

I am looking for an Applescript that will add file extensions to a bunch of files. Specifically .jpg to a bunch of pictures. I thought I had it in one of the forums but when you click on the link

File Type: zip add to file names.scpt.zip (7.6 KB, 227 views)

you get a blank screen and the tab says "attachment.php" and nothing happens.

Is there a script somewhere?
