Can somebody give me an applescript to open a new quicktime movie, begin recording then save when the recording is done
 
Thank you for the scripts. But the record video one only opens a new quicktime movie. It doesn't automatically start recording. How do I do that. Second, how do I see the commands in that script. I cant open your script in Script Editor.

Reading your original post, I think the applescript you seek is quite intricate IMO and I don't know if there is a pre-written script out there as there are user variables involved.
