Hey guys. I wanted to tell you all about Apple Student Developers If you're interested in programming for Mac OS X, and especially if you're a student, I would encourage you to check it out.

Let me know what you think of it. Also, I apologize if this seems like a troll, but it seemed like you would be interested.

Not a troll. Trolling would be coming here and saying "macs sux!!!!!!!!!!11 pccs R the best!!!!!1 get out all u MAC lusers!"

Actually, the real reason I responded was this: Are you the same joshlewis! who's the Apple rep at Macalester College? If so, well, it was the exclamation point that gave it away... :D

tht's just umichmug.org ;) Cool site (which I'm a moderator for), although there just isn't enough people to keep discussion lively, like there is here. They get a little more technica over there, and have specific sections for every different programming topic you could imagine (related to OS X at least). Come post in the Cocoa-Java section if you just want to sey hello to a lonely moderator ;)

Of course I'm the same Josh Lewis! that reps Macalester. :D Who else would have a bang on his name? Nice to see you here.

F-bacher, hi! One of the reasons I posted my original message was because I thought some people would enjoy the different atmosphere of ASD, and the different topics we cover, in addition to the Student Life section and some other stuff we'll be putting up soon. The Student Life section even has ASD-veloper's movies submitted by actual students (such as yours truly).

I hope everyone enjoys it and finds it a good addition to the forums they frequently visit. Let me know what you think!

Peachy. Fancy that, the Mac student rep... at macosx.com.

Now the upper hand is mine. You may be the Apple student rep, but you are only a junior member, whereas I am Made of Dumb!

Unfortunately I haven't done much Cocoa programming. I'd love to, but I don't have much time right now. Hopefully I can get to work on learning it this summer, like I did last year. In the meantime I'll check out your link. Looks keen at first glance.
