Application Switcher Query

Hi guys...
I bought the Apple 30" Cinema Display monitor and ever since I have been using Application Switcher as my main way of navigating through my applications to save on the extra wrist action the bigger monitor has brought. Does anyone know if a tip exists to reduce the icon sizing of this feature as when I open too many apps the icons spread right across the monitor causing me some discomfort after a hard days constant app switching.... would be great to reduce the sizing of the icons to keep as many apps in the center of the screen as much as possible.

It would be great is someone knew of any tricks out there to solve this query of mine... if not, not to worry... the larger screen is the best purchase I have ever made from Apple outside their computers.... just superb and I'll learn to live with the wrist pain.

Dunno how to reduce the size of the Application switcher, but I'm guessing that if your wrists are hurting from dragging the mouse, you might not have the tracking speed set fast enough. Go to System Preferences/Keyboard & Mouse/Mouse to adjust.

You might also consider using a trackball instead.

There are 3rd party application switchers that might have the feature of having a fixed maximum size for the icons. I don't remember, though. LiteSwitch - http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/8242 - might do it, for example, but that one ain't free.

Thanks for the replies guys and the advice.... I have tried all your great suggestions... but App Switcher just is too good... I'll just suffer on with my wrist issues...lol... hopefully the soreness might go....lol... suffering artist that I am...

A better mouse driver such as either of these...

USB Overdrive

will allow you to increase the mouse acceleration rate, which in turn will move your mouse farther with no extra wrist action.

Apple should have included a setting for mouse pointer acceleration with their resident driver.
