apps that dont work on 7B85

I can't seem to get Macromedia's MX 2004 apps to run on Panther.

I use Dreamweaver MX with no problems, but the 2004 version can't run - and the same goes for Flash MX 2004.
I open the app and it just close again - and no warning dialog is shown.

BTW it's the trial versions of MX 2004.

Anyone else got that problem?
 
Having used Panther beta since build 7b53, I've found alot of apps didn't work, but as the builds kept coming, the apps started to work, like Toast 6.

Having build 7b85 now for a few weeks, I still have a few apps that don't work.

For example:

Sim City 4 - missing buildings in cities :confused:
MS Entourage, specially when using LDAP Directory Services.
A few crashes with PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign.

I don't know if Panther is at fault or the apps need updating, we have to watch and see...
 
Yes the new build has some problems running applications but I am finding that a lot of the ones that were running even in the early build are running much faster and smoother...

I still have problems using anything ealier then Toast 6 but it isn't that big of a deal considering Roxio was quick on the gun creating a new verision.

One theng that I do want to try is customize all my system icons to that to
match my server. AKA the G5 icons that you can download off of apples website. (very sharp!) If anybody knows an application that will run in the new build please tell me. No, Candybar will not work.
 
In order to Macromedia MX 2004 products to work you have to search your hard drive for a folder called Macrovision
(i don't remember if there was more than one).

Anyway you have to delete that folder if it resides inside a Library folder.

Once you've done that, you have to reinstall your macromedia products.
(I used the trials, so only reinstalling Flash Worked for me).

And that's it.
