Are Health/Fitness Club Memberships Negotiable??

I was thinking about joining a health club.....one of those nice ones with the pool, sauna, raquetball, etc. Are these memberships negotiable? If so, by how much? What are some of the deals that you've been able to negotiate? What are some things that I need to watch out for? Thanks

Umm, you join a forum for Mac OS X hardware and software issues to discuss gym membership details?
I guess I might go and search for a luxury health club related bulletin board to talk about Macs or gardening then. Or cats. Or to tell that I saw Anthony Bourdain on the beach somewhere exotic in January.

I have a membership for a gym with a few pools, hot tub, apparently a sauna and other sports things too. I got it for free, so just try to beat what I've got. Even though I mostly care about the swimming pools.

Now, can we talk about Macs? I see plenty of people use their iPhones and iPads at the pool area. I guess no wonder since we've also got the wireless there...
