I have a problem with one of the macs in my studio. It's a dual G4 and the ATS Server seems to be fluctuating wildly between 4% and 98% of the CPU% and causing the mac to slow down dramatically. It also seems to be working overtime constantly and we can even here it crunching through it's processing.
I know the ATS Server has to do with allowing font access to the apps, but that's about it. Is there anything I can do to slow this beast down and bring the machine back up to speed.
The machine is using Suitcase X1 (yeah I know all the problems with that) and has nothing to do with Font Book as I deleted it as soon as I could following huge problems of another kind.
Any help would be most graciously accepted.
