Hi,

I had bad thing after installing NetBarrier and when I want to use DAVE.

After the installation of NetBarrier, each time I try to use DAVE ( even with no restrictions checked in Netbarrier) I had a Kernel Panic. I uninstall NetBarrier X nd everything works again correctly !

I don't know which of NetBarrier or Dave is responsible, but as I have a hardawre router and use NAT, I will not install NetBarrier unitl they release an upgrade!

As some on this forum, I think that Intego didn't made suffisant test on their software before they release it !!

Same problem with my system.

Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to uninstall NetbarrierX, so I was forced to reinitialize the OSX partition and start again.

I've tried installing Netbarrier BEFORE Dave, but got the same results.

Would love to have any info on how to get these two applications working together on OSX.

Hi,

I was terrified when you wrote 'I have to reinitalize mys OS X partiton".

A quite simple procedure (as long you have already activate the root user) is to login under root , and manually put in the trash following composant composant

./Library/Frameworks/EDWOCommon.framework/
./Library/Frameworks/EDWOInternet.framework/
./Applications/NetUpdate.app/
./Applications/NetBarrier X.app/
./Library/Intego/
./Library/StartupItems/NetBarrier/
./Library/StartupItems/NetUpdate/
./Library/Receipts/NetBarrier

and eventually the log's files and the preferences (both in the general library folder and in the user library folder).

Sincerely

Thanks for the uninstall procedure, Tuvok.

I'm pretty new at this Mac stuff. This is all such a grand learning experience, no?
