I've messed up the audio output of my G3 IMac. I managed this by trying to connect the audio output into a CD player in an attempt to amplifier the output.
Now I know its a software problem as if I restart from the second partition on the hardrive it works fine.
Therefore, logically, I could cure the problem by re-installing the system on the 'damaged' partition but thats a heck of a job when - in all likelyhood - just one file has been corrupted.
If you have any idea which file it would be, it would save me some hours in re-installing the system (I'm on 10.2) and all its upgrades.
