I'm trying to organise my mp3 collection for itunes. Problem is its going to take me forever to get my music tagged properly manually. I have all my albums organised into folders and all have track numbers in the mp3 filenames. Is there any freeware out there for osx that will automatically tag album, artist and track number from this info? I've seen ones that charge by checking with a database online, but are there any free ones that do it from the folder and filename? Thanks!

Any Mac user with a question like "is there a software for Mac that does A and/or B" should first use either versiontracker.com or macupdate.com (doesn't really matter which) and simply enter "A B" as the search term. In your case, that'd lead to this result: http://www.versiontracker.com/php/search.php?mode=basic&action=search&str=mp3+tags&plt[]=macosx - VersionTracker seems to give more results for this particular case.
