Autologin Problems

I got some trouble with osx. Ive changed an user in netinfo manager, and put him into my autologin option. But now, osx brings up the startscreen but after this screen only my mouse and a blue clear desctop without anything is on my screen.
did anyone know how i can login with another user, or disable or change my autogin with any programms, or cds?
 
You could try resetting permissions. To me that sounds like a possible problem that has gone wrong. You can do this from the install CD by starting up from it and go File>Disk Utility. Under the repair disk tab one of the options is to repair disk permissions.

If that doesn't work. Can you hook an external drive to the machine with a bootable image that you can start from. From their you could erase your new user by going directly to the user in the system via the Terminal.
