We've got the setup mentioned above running on an ethernet network. It's always worked fine except for some reason it either no longer works or is not recognized.
We're using 10.3.9, and have heard rumors that the driver is "broken".

The Axis is a print server, and this is a Stylus Color 1160, and you were using the Gimp-Print driver before, in order to print via IP printing?
We've always just used the Apple Epson driver, but we can't get any of the drivers to work. And AXIS shows it as a discontinued product. It's just that for some reason when we upgraded to 10.3.7 it suddenly stopped working.
Any ideas? All we get it just a flashing light on the print server.
Well, try this:
Repair permissions (Disk Utility). This is general maintenance.
In Printer Setup, ADD and choose IP printing > LPR. Enter the IP address and for queue name, enter PR1. Select model. Finish and try it.
