Background question

I'm not so familiar with the classic backgrounds, but it could be "classic aqua" - in system preferences - desktop. if it's not there, navigate to the classic folder, there library / desktop and copy the classic desktop you wanted to the X desktop images folder. or drag it to desktop (always in sys. preferences) :)

You can use any picture on any mounted disk in the System Preferences - so if the picture you're looking for is in your OS9 drive/partition, you just need to navigate there via the open dialog and pick the picture file you want.

The pics on OS 9, the default mac background is not just a file. It is like a scrap book file. They are all in there. I can't extract it.

if you go to System Preferences, Desktop, change collection to choose folder..., go to Macintosh HD, System Folder, Appearance, and then pick the folder with your picture in it. It works fine for me. :)

I actually got it this way. I went to os9 and drag the file out of the Appearance interface. When you drop it to the desktop, it shows up as a scarpbook file. Then I used Graphic converter to make it into a jpg file. I now have it on my OSX background.
I should habe made it clear that OS9 is not installed on my new mac. Also I am speaking of the default desktop picture of the Happy Mac face on the blue backdrop, called Mac Deafult picture on mac os9.

Oh, the Happy Mac ... when I was using Windows, that was normally my bacground there :)
(And the fake fur was on Linux) ..
