backing up files on PeeWee

I'm wanting to do a clean install of 10.1, so I was thinking of backing up my system onto my PC (W2K), with which I have a little peer-to-peer network. Anyone have any idea whether the Mac will be able to use those files once I've restored them from the PeeWee? I've been having problems with my LaCie U&I CD-RW :-(, hence the need to back up onto PeeWee.

U could create a disk image using apples disk copy tool, copy ur files onto that image, and then move that image onto ur "peewee" harddrive!
