Backup iPhoto Library online?

Because I have a great hosting service (DreamHost) I have a ton of disk space that I will never use. I thought it might be a good idea to back up my iPhoto library to this disk space. But how can I do that without investing hundreds of hours creating each individual folder and then populating them one at a time? I tried uploading the whole file with DreamWeaver, which usually is great at uploading nested folders when the top level folder is selected, but it isn't working (maybe because of all the aliases).

Is there an easy way to back up my iPhoto library to a remote server? Is there an FTP program for the Mac that will upload nested folders? Thanks.
 
If you use iPhoto's export function, you'll get better results than if you copy the iPhoto folder. Google has an attachment for Picasa that makes it easy to upload to their service, but you only get 6 gigs, with membership.
