HA! HA! HA!
My 40GB iPod recently went wacky and required a clean install. I have about 25GB of stuff on it and it's been a chore to get everything back on it.
I keep my music collection on my external as a backup (I don't like having to connect the external to my 17 everytime I use iTunes and I like not having those 25GB eating up space on the hard drive.
Anyway, I have all of the songs and audiobooks on the iPod again and now I'm having to create all of the playlists, which is a pain and a half.
So, I'm wondering if there's an easier way to do, or something I can do in case this ever happens again (or if I ever switch iPod).
I do have PodUtil and am a registered user. I was thinking that I could extract the music from the iPod and replace my external music backup with it, but aren't sure if that would solve half of the problem (keeping the playlists intact).
