Backup Mail?

I'm having a lot of trouble with Mac OS X on my Power Mac 733 recently.. I've tried everything from Fsck -y to Disk First Aid and still have issues, some worse after the fsck (like my Icy Juice contact list files being deleted and keychains gone).

Anyways, I want to back up all my Mailboxes from Mail.app to CD-R or Zip Disk. What files do I need to copy, and is there anything I should know before diving in?

Read my mind there dricci...I was JUST gonna post a thread asking the very same thing. I have emails that I want to backup, but I don't have the slightest idea how to do it. I also don't know how I would access the emails once I backed up the files. I hope someone has an answer.
 
the mail data is contained in your home directory/user/library/ mail

You will probably want the data in home directory/user/library/Addresses also.

check also home directory/user/library/preferences for

com.apple.AddressBook.plist

com.apple.mail.plist

I transfered a users files from one drive to another without any problems.

put the files back in the same place you found them
 
Thanks! That will be very helpful! Almost forgot about my Address Book, glad that should be easy to backup.
